This books starts off with all the reasons why social media marketing does not work for a lot of people, and I can certainly relate to this, having stopped using this approach some months back. The book goes on to outline tried and trusted marketing techniques - nothing new under the sun as they say, the only challenge is to actually go and implement these techniques and check your results. Email marketing, referrals, and targeted marketing are the most relevant for me, and there is also a good section on following up on leads - my golden rule is that"the fortune is in the follow up" - and Neil outlines ways in which you can use this approach. Overall this is a very useful read, clearly laid out with relevant examples, and overall great advice which if followed I have no doubt will increase your sales.Product details

Neil makes a compelling point that many business owners are behaving like sheep in getting on the social media bandwagon. Of course he does point out that social media CAN work - but you need to test its effectiveness and measure the return. And what's the ultimate return? Is it generating leads that you are turning into paying customers? That's the hard question - one that a lot of pundits and practitioners are paying ZERO attention to.
